Lectures from leading ICU echocardiographers of Europe and US will describe the key aspects of haemodynamic assessment in critical care patients. The course will focus on special topics of critical care like heart-lung interactions on mechanical ventilation, sepsis, postoperative patients, etc.
Rather than describe the practicalities of performing echocardiography, which are clearly important but can only be learned at the bedside, we instead strive to describe the spirit in which echocardiography should be used in critical care. Delegates on site will realize that this spirit differs greatly from that of echocardiography done by a cardiologist not working in intensive care.
This course is ideal for intensivists and cardiologists performing echo in critical care setting and seeking to gain a thorough understanding of how to use echocardiography to improve haemodynamic management of critically ill.
Fee until 30 September, 2016 – 60 EUR.
